US CENTCOM Calls for De-escalation Between SDF and Syrian Army
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

US Central Command has called on Syrian government forces to halt offensive actions against the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in northern Syria, emphasizing the need for cooperation in the fight against ISIS. Despite a March agreement aimed at integrating the SDF into the new Syrian government, clashes have persisted, particularly in Aleppo, where the SDF has faced pressure from Damascus. The SDF has recently agreed to withdraw from Dayr Hafir, an area of strategic importance. US officials are attempting to de-escalate tensions, although inconsistencies in US diplomatic and military approaches complicate the situation.
