Lebanese PM Nawaf Salam: Gov’t will not cooperate with Iran

In a recent interview, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam stated that his government would not closely cooperate with Iran, declaring that “the days of spreading the Iranian revolution are over” and emphasizing the need to address weapons in Lebanon beyond government control. Salam asserted that Lebanon seeks “real peace” with Israel, contingent upon the end of Israeli occupation of Lebanese territories. Meanwhile, Hezbollah reaffirmed its commitment to resistance against Israel, with its chief insisting that Israel must withdraw and meet its obligations before any discussions can occur.
