Turkey has initiated a strategic energy project to export natural gas and electricity to Syria, aiming to stabilize northern regions and support war-damaged power stations. Turkish Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar announced plans to export approximately six million cubic meters of natural gas daily to Aleppo, with infrastructure work already underway. This initiative, part of improving relations between Ankara and Damascus, also includes supplying 200 megawatts of electricity to Aleppo and has been approved by Syrian officials as part of broader efforts to rehabilitate the country’s energy infrastructure.
