Israeli air defense systems, aided by American technology, failed to intercept a ballistic missile from the Yemen-based Houthi group, striking near Tel Aviv’s main airport and causing injuries as flights were temporarily halted. Prime Minister Netanyahu held an emergency meeting to address the escalation, marking the fifth Houthi attack over the weekend amid ongoing US-led airstrikes in Yemen. Since October 2023, over 70 rockets have been launched at Israel, with calls for accountability directed at Iran for its support of the Houthis.
