Armed police officer injured after stand off with man ‘wielding sword and a knife’

An armed police officer sustained a hand injury during a confrontation with a 29-year-old man in Worcester Close, Istead Rise, Gravesend, who was reportedly wielding a sword and a knife. The suspect was arrested on suspicion of assault and possession of an offensive weapon, while the injured officer was taken to the hospital for treatment.
