Arab and Muslim nations condemn Israeli actions at Al-Aqsa Mosque

Eight Arab and Muslim-majority countries condemned the recent incursion of over 4,200 Israeli settlers into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in East Jerusalem, led by far-right groups and Israeli ministers, under police protection. The foreign ministers of Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, and the UAE criticized these actions as provocative and illegal attempts to alter the status quo, fueling extremism and hindering peace efforts. They urged Israel to lift restrictions on access to the mosque and called on the international community to address ongoing violations against holy sites in Jerusalem.
