A 32-year-old man has been arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and endangering transport after allegedly spraying an Auckland bus driver with a fire extinguisher. The incident occurred on a 27H bus near Mt Eden Rd around 6pm on Tuesday, following a verbal altercation between the passenger and the driver. Passengers alerted the police and an ambulance, and the driver was taken to Auckland Hospital but has since returned home to recover.
