Aqara Presence Sensor Operates on Battery for Three Years

Aqara has introduced its first battery-powered presence sensor, the Presence Multi-Sensor FP300, designed for versatile home installation and automation of smart devices. Powered by CR2450 batteries, it offers up to three years of battery life with Zigbee or two years with Thread. The FP300 detects people using PIR and 60 GHz mmWave radar, can automate lighting and device settings, and supports smart home platforms like Apple Home and Google Home. However, it lacks features like multi-person detection and health monitoring available in Aqara’s pricier FP2 model.
