Last week, the ACC faced a challenging SEC in the annual SEC-ACC Challenge, losing 13 of 16 games, with an average defeat margin of 13.6 points. Notable losses included double-digit home defeats for Duke, Miami, and Florida State, while Texas comfortably defeated North Carolina. Although Syracuse, Virginia Tech, and SMU won, the ACC’s overall performance left them with only two teams in the top 30 of NET rankings, compared to nine from the SEC. The ACC must improve to restore its reputation in women’s college basketball.
