Ansel Elgort
and Oscar-winning legend Shirley MacLaine are set to star in the road trip comedy Lucy Boomer, directed by Howard Deutch. The film, based on Russell Hill‘s novel and written by Ron Cutler and Mark Steven Johnson, follows Elgort’s character, Jack Ritchie, as he helps 93-year-old Lucy escape her nursing home for an interview that could change his life. Their journey is complicated by a free-spirited hitchhiker and a detective in pursuit. Principal photography begins in February in New Mexico, with International Film Trust managing worldwide rights.
