Google I/O 2025 will feature a special livestream, The Android Show: I/O Edition, today at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET, available on the Android site and YouTube, focusing on software announcements rather than hardware, such as the new Material 3 Expressive design language and updates on Android XR. The main I/O event is scheduled for May 20th and 21st, highlighting Gemini amidst Microsoft’s Build conference. Anticipation surrounds the Android Show as it may reveal details about Android 16’s release.
