Several ads on Amazon’s Canadian website for men’s tank tops using the term “wife beater” have been removed after a CBC News investigation, as the phrase is considered offensive by Canada’s advertising watchdog. Despite this, Amazon stated that it does not have issues with the term and that the actions were taken by third-party sellers independently.
