Almost two-thirds of Canadians say more evidence needed to accept 'unmarked graves' report in Kamloops

A recent Angus Reid survey reveals that 63% of Canadians, including 56% of Indigenous respondents, believe the anomalies found at the former Kamloops Indian Residential School require further verification before being accepted as unmarked graves of children. Although 68% agree that residential schools constituted cultural genocide, many overestimate the percentage of Indigenous children who attended these schools, with only about 30% having done so.
