All the Aussies recognised in this year’s Australia Day Honours List, including Gillian Triggs, Megan Davis and Galarrwuy Yunupingu

The 2022 Australia Day honours list includes human rights lawyers Gillian Triggs and Megan Davis, infectious disease expert Allen Cheng, and late Indigenous activist Galarrwuy Yunupingu as Companions of the Order of Australia. The list also features gold medallists from the Paris 2024 Olympics, such as Noemie Fox and Arisa Trew, alongside former Australian women’s Test cricket captain Raelee Thompson and musician Beeb Birtles. Governor-General Samantha Mostyn emphasized the importance of recognizing contributions to communities and thanked all recipients for embodying the best of Australian society.
