The Alberta government is withholding the results of a public survey on renewable energy development on agricultural land, conducted online between July 24 and Aug. 14, following new restrictions on wind and solar projects. Postmedia requested the results but received over 300 pages of redacted documents. The ministry cited legislative exemptions, including revealing executive council deliberations, in withholding the information, despite the survey explicitly excluding such exemptions.
