Members of Alberta’s United Conservative Party voted to endorse all 35 policy resolutions at their annual general meeting, including challenging Ottawa and changing transgender policies. Some resolutions, already in progress, include limiting cellphone use in schools and updating recall rules. Premier Danielle Smith emphasized that approved resolutions do not guarantee government policy and will be reviewed by staff. Notably, a new Alberta Bill of Rights proposal, with expanded rights such as self-defense and concealed carry of firearms, was also supported by members.
