Gaza’s Ministry of Health is facing severe shortages of essential medical supplies due to Israel’s ongoing genocidal war and blockade, hindering diagnostic and treatment services. The shortages include 52% of essential medicines, 71% of medical consumables, and 59% of laboratory supplies, affecting emergency and intensive care services. Despite a ceasefire, Israel is not allowing in enough medical aid trucks, exacerbating a critical health emergency. Additionally, 1,200 patients, including 155 children, have died awaiting evacuation for medical treatment, while more than 10,000 Palestinians remain in Israeli prisons with reports of abuse and neglect.
