NCP chief Ajit Pawar announced that the Chief Minister post in Maharashtra will go to BJP, with two deputy positions for allied parties, setting a tentative oath-taking date of December 5. Despite the Mahayuti’s victory, a consensus on portfolio allocations remains elusive, with Shiv Sena now demanding the Home Ministry portfolio. The swearing-in ceremony for the new cabinet is scheduled for December 5 at Mumbai’s Azad Maidan, in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
