After JP Morgan & Bloomberg, FTSE Russell to include Indian bonds in EMGB index from Sept 2025 | Business News

Global index provider FTSE Russell announced that starting September 2025, Indian government bonds eligible under the Fully Accessible Route (FAR) will be included in the FTSE Emerging Markets Government Bond Index (EMGBI), as well as the FTSE Asian Government Bond Index (AGBI) and the FTSE Asian-Pacific Government Bond Index (APGBI). This move marks the third global bond index to include Indian bonds, following JP Morgan Chase & Co, showcasing India’s increasing presence in global financial markets.
