The Confederation of African Football (CAF) playoffs start on November 13, featuring Cameroon, Gabon, Nigeria, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo vying for a spot in the FIFA intercontinental playoff for World Cup 2026. Matches will be held in Rabat, Morocco, with Nigeria facing Gabon and Cameroon playing Congo DR in the semifinals. The playoff winner will still need to compete in the intercontinental playoff in March to secure World Cup qualification. Nine African nations have already qualified for the World Cup, which will take place across North America from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
