Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ben Kalu, urged the Nigerian government to integrate the African Union Agenda 2063 into its development plans at the Conference of Speakers of African Parliaments in South Africa. Representing Speaker Abbas Tajudeen, Mr Kalu emphasized that this integration would set a model for other African countries to follow. Nigeria’s delegation, led by the deputy speaker, aimed to promote adherence to the AU’s agenda for continental development.
