Each year, over 350,000 women die from cervical cancer, with 94% of deaths occurring in low- and middle-income countries. To combat this, the Global Strategy to Accelerate the Elimination of Cervical Cancer calls for achieving specific targets by 2030, including high HPV vaccination coverage and timely screening. G20 leaders are urged to support universal access to HPV vaccines and screening programs to eliminate cervical cancer worldwide, alongside sustained investments in health and innovative solutions such as artificial intelligence for accurate screening.
