Africa: Angola Defends Reform to Avoid Export of Raw Materials in Africa

Isaac dos Anjos, the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, emphasized the importance of reforming Africa’s agricultural sector to industrialize products locally and reduce the export of raw materials. Angola will ratify the CAADP strategy to develop agriculture in Africa, aiming to increase investments and allocate 10% of national budgets to the sector. The African Union Extraordinary Summit in Kampala focuses on building resilient and sustainable agro-food systems, with participation from experts, ministers, and development partners.
