The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) CEO Stuart Minchin announced an additional $1.15 million spent on the website’s updates after a controversial $96 million overhaul in late 2025, which faced backlash for poor user experience. BOM’s leadership emphasized that annual budgets are allocated for continuous enhancements as new features and technology emerge.
