Yemen’s former president Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi has died at the age of 80 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, according to Yemen’s presidency. Hadi, who fled to Saudi Arabia in 2015 after being placed under house arrest by Houthi rebels, led a fractured government from exile during Yemen’s civil war. He stepped down in 2022, transferring power to the Presidential Leadership Council amid ongoing conflict. The Yemeni government has declared three days of mourning in his honor.
