An office worker at Auckland Steam ’N Dry, Shania Mortimer, was awarded over $30,000 after being unjustly dismissed just 15 days into her job. Mortimer struggled to support her child and applied for over 60 jobs after her termination. The ERA’s decision highlighted the lack of structured onboarding she received.
