Prosecutors stated that Fotios “Freddy” Geas used a lock attached to a belt to strike 89-year-old Bulger in the head multiple times shortly after Bulger’s transfer to U.S. Penitentiary, Hazelton in October 2018. Geas had been previously involved in the Al Bruno murder case in 2009.
