Empowering a New Generation to Lead Healthcare Change Initiatives in Nigeria

The World Health Organization (WHO) has partnered with the Nigerian government to launch the National Health Fellows Program (NHFP) aimed at deploying health fellows across all 774 local government areas to strengthen healthcare services and drive lasting change in the country’s health sector. WHO led the recruitment process, selecting highly qualified professionals to serve communities nationwide, with the program expected to improve healthcare access, enhance the health workforce, strengthen disease surveillance, and promote community engagement and awareness.
