Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will visit South Africa on April 10 for talks with South African leader Cyril Ramaphosa on finding “a path to peace” with Russia. Ramaphosa, who has been mediating between Ukraine and Russia, hopes to leverage South Africa’s ties to Russia through the BRICS bloc to advance peace talks. South Africa, holding the G20 presidency, emphasizes the need for Ukraine to be included in peace talks and will also meet with European leaders next week to discuss cooperation in ending the war in Ukraine.
