Illinois spends $10 mil for free test prep classes for students

Illinois has launched the Prepare for Illinois’ Future Program in collaboration with Kaplan, offering free test preparation to over 200,000 students at public universities and select community colleges. The program provides access to over 40 test prep courses, including graduate-level admissions exams and courses in various fields. Spearheaded by Rep. La Shawn Ford, the program aims to remove financial barriers for students transitioning from university to the workforce, filling the opportunity gap and promoting workforce development.
