President Trump nominated Air Force Lt. Gen. Dan “Razin” Caine as the next chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, praising his national security expertise and role in defeating ISIS. Despite being passed over by Biden, Caine will work with Secretary Pete Hegseth to rebuild the military. Trump and Hegseth thanked departing chairman General Charles “CQ” Brown and announced nominations for other high-level positions in the military.
