Five still in running for Ashburton council CEO role

Five candidates, including current chief executive Hamish Riach, are vying for the top job at the Ashburton District Council after 25 applications were received. Mayor Neil Brown confirmed the shortlist of five finalists and stated that the recruitment process is on track for completion in early-mid March. Riach, who has been in the role for seven years, re-applied for the position but declined to comment on his status in the selection process.
