Actress and producer Issa Rae has joined the ownership group of Major League Soccer expansion club San Diego FC, alongside billionaire Mohamed Mansour and the Sycuan Tribe. San Diego FC, set to kick off its inaugural season on Feb. 23, also includes partners Manny Machado and Juan Mata. Rae, known for her work on HBO’s “Insecure” and advocacy for underrepresented communities, is partnering with Pave Investments to make history in MLS.
