Three-time NBA champion Dwyane Wade revealed on his podcast that he underwent surgery in December 2023 to remove 40% of his kidney due to a cancerous tumor. The health scare left him weakened, but also helped him realize the importance of family. Wade did not disclose details about his current health status. Wade retired from the NBA after the 2018-19 season and purchased an ownership stake in the Utah Jazz in 2021.
