Italian navy vessel Cassiopea has picked up 49 migrants in the Mediterranean, transferring them to processing centers in Albania. This is the third attempt to process migrants in Albania, with 53 others avoiding transfer by presenting passports. Italian judges have questioned the legality of the scheme, leading to a European court hearing on the matter on Feb. 25.
