They also discussed cooperation on energy, trade, raising diplomatic representation, and appointing a permanent ambassador. In a separate meeting, Sharaa met with Bahrain’s strategic security bureau chief to discuss regional security, Bahrain’s support for a transitional process in Syria, and the establishment of dialogue for stability and prosperity in the region.
