Ukraine claims North Korean troops were killed as they fought alongside Russian forces

Ukraine’s military intelligence agency claimed that around 30 North Korean troops were killed or wounded in fighting against the Ukrainian army in Russia’s Kursk border region. The casualties occurred in villages where Russia has been trying to quash a Ukrainian incursion. North Korea has sent 10,000 troops to support Russia in the war, with Kim Jong Un pledging support under a mutual defense pact, but analysts note communication issues between Russian and North Korean forces.
