Canada Post has removed the deadline for its Santa Claus letter program due to a national workers’ strike halting mail delivery before the holidays, with 55,000 workers on strike for over two weeks. The service ensures all letters to Santa will reach the North Pole once operations resume, but delivery dates are not guaranteed, as some communities are stepping in to ensure replies by Christmas. Santa’s North Pole post office has replied to over 45 million letters in the program’s 40-year history, with local initiatives filling the gap during the strike.
