Dunedin’s first Orange Day Parade since 2020 brought together hundreds of students from 20 schools to celebrate school traffic safety team members, walking from across the city to the Octagon in orange attire. The annual parade, paused for four years due to Covid-19 restrictions and street upgrades, was met with praise from deputy mayor Cherry Lucas and Senior Sergeant Anthony Bond for the pupils’ dedication to keeping everyone safe. The event concluded with a swim and barbecue lunch at Moana Pool for the children to enjoy.
