More than 200 people attended an open day to observe the progress of Whenua Haumanu, a major agriculture research program in NZ focusing on regenerative agriculture. Led by Massey University and funded by the Ministry for Primary Industries, the program is in its third year of a seven-year study, exploring various aspects of the farm system and trialling contemporary and regenerative farming practices. Professor Danny Donaghy heads the project, emphasizing the importance of gathering data that will benefit farmers, attracting a diverse group of attendees including scientists, students, industry groups, rural professionals, and farmers.
