A powerful typhoon, Man-yi, struck Catanduanes in the Philippines with winds up to 195 km/h, causing widespread damage and forcing hundreds of thousands to evacuate to shelters. The storm, the sixth to hit the country in less than a month, led to towering tidal surges, knocked down power lines, and left the entire province without electricity. The government, along with international allies, provided aid as the Philippines faced a series of severe storms, leaving many dead, displaced, and in need of assistance.
