Lebanon says 8 killed in Israel strike near coastal city of Sidon

The Lebanese health ministry reported that at least eight people were killed and 25 others wounded in an Israeli strike near Sidon, targeting a densely-populated area with displaced families. The strike, the first since the Israel-Hezbollah war started, resulted in the death of a child and damage to surrounding buildings. The ongoing conflict has left 1,615 dead in Lebanon, with over 1.3 million displaced, including half a million crossing into Syria.
