YongRahn Park, leader of the Korean Positive Ageing Charitable Trust, has been instrumental in creating a strong community connection for Korean families in east Auckland through KPACT. Established in 2012, KPACT offers projects such as elderly social work, health promotion, Lifelong Learning Academy classes, and community engagement initiatives, fostering well-being and a sense of belonging. Park’s dedication and efforts were recognized with the Queen’s Service Medal for services to the Korean community, a testament to her commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of others.
