After heavy rain and thunderstorms in Bengaluru, over twenty flights were delayed, and waterlogging disrupted normal life in the city, especially in its northern parts. The India Meteorological Department forecasted more showers for Tuesday, prompting Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to assure compensation for losses caused by natural calamities. The Janata Dal (Secular) criticized the government for neglecting infrastructure issues, as schools were closed, and several flights were diverted due to the severe weather.
