Quebec’s permanent anti-corruption unit (UPAC) had a successful period in 2023-2024, with interim director Éric René reporting an increase in all indicators. UPAC received 450 complaints of wrongdoing, with nearly 30% from the public sector, and managed to address each complaint within an average of one week’s time. René highlighted the unit’s efficiency in dealing with complaints and emphasized its commitment to tackling corruption in Quebec.
