A truck driver escorting a cargo of copper in Withok Estates was shot by hijackers, leading to cases of truck hijacking, kidnapping, and attempted murder being opened. The driver and escort were stopped by men in metro police uniforms, who then attacked the escort driver and forced both victims into a vehicle, robbing them before dropping them off at a cemetery. The stolen truck and copper have a value of approximately R750,000.
