Power outages have been reported across the south and east of Ireland, with four counties set to remain under a status orange weather alert until midnight. Approximately 4,500 homes were without electricity on Sunday evening, as ESB Networks crews worked to restore connections in multiple counties. Despite the disruption being described as “relatively modest,” it is consistent with previous orange rain and yellow wind warnings issued by Met Éireann.
