The Cameroonian authorities have been urged by Amnesty International to release three supporters of the association Pouvoir au Peuple Camerounais (PPC) and their relatives, who were arbitrarily arrested and detained for two weeks. The detainees, Moustapha Tizi, Mohamadou Ballo, and Ibrahim Oumarou, were arrested for allegedly wearing t-shirts bearing the PPC logo on 9 September. Amnesty International is calling for an end to arbitrary arrests and detention in Cameroon.
