A 29-year-old subway rider was stabbed in the back by a stranger at the First Ave. subway station in Manhattan. The victim had just exited a Brooklyn-bound L train around 8:45 p.m. when the attack occurred. A security guard saw the victim in pain and witnessed someone fleeing the scene.
