Starbucks ordered to reopen 2 NY stores shut down after workers unionized

The National Labor Relations Board ordered Starbucks to reopen two Ithaca, NY stores after a judge ruled the closures were meant to discourage union activity. Administrative law judge Geoffrey Carter found Starbucks violated labor laws by shutting down the stores for antiunion reasons. The ruling requires Starbucks to reinstate employees and compensate them for lost wages.
